Bishop Publishing is named after Rebecca Bishop, my 4th great grandmother. Rebecca was born shortly after the birth of our nation and her ancestors date back to the 11th century during the time of Guillaume Count de Toulouse IV. Count Toulouse’s beliefs have been seen as giving women the greatest opportunities for independent action since women were found as being believers as well as Perfecti, who were able to administer the sacrament of the consolamentum. Because of this belief, the Toulouse family saw women as equally capable of being spiritual leaders, which undermined the very concept of gender as understood in the medieval world. This is also my belief in equality throughout the world.
A little about me: I am Dr. Scot Trodick. I’m a college professor teaching all levels of higher education. Lead Faculty, Dissertation Chair, Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in Business Management and Administration, and owner of Bishop Publishing. I live in South Orange County which is about an hour south of Los Angeles. I help writers become published authors.
